We surf, skate, and take care of others.
Hawaiian Island Clothing is the continual, on-going journey to find Aloha. We believe that in order to help others, you need to live a life that is meaningful and rewarding. This starts with finding a bigger purpose and following a blueprint of goodness. This is what we believe Aloha is, a blueprint for living a more rewarding, joyful, meaningful life. Aloha is not just a way to say hello or goodbye, it is a way of life.
At the soul of Hawaiian Island Clothing, we are skateboarders, surfers, punk rockers, thrill-seekers, travelers, but more importantly we are good people. We want to impact the world and leave it in a better place than when we entered it. Our passion is to help those that cannot help themselves, children. From foster kids in the United States to the children placed in harmful situations across the world, everything we do is to help create a life worth living.
This purpose is why we donate 51% of our profits to charities that are doing great things to help kids. Our goal is to be able to donate $200,000 per year to great partners that are doing so much to help.
The meaning of aloha is why we started, so it is just natural that aloha is the basis of our core values and what we believe in.
- “Akahai,” meaning kindness, to be expressed with tenderness;
- “Lokahi,” meaning unity, to be expressed with harmony;
- “Oluolu,” meaning agreeable, to be expressed with pleasantness;
- “Haahaa,” meaning humility, to be expressed with modesty;
- “Ahonui,” meaning patience, to be expressed with perseverance.
